  • All payments are one off regardless of how long you leave your ADA staked. We do of course hope that you keep your delegation with us and help with our long term growth.   • Instant payments are usually paid immediately or within a few hours once we have been notified of the delegation;
  • To contribute to the charity payment you must leave your stake for a minimum of 2 full epochs which last 5 days each. For example if you make your delegation on the first day of an epoch then the second reward will be paid in approximately 14 to 15 days whereas if you made your delegation on the last day of an epoch the reward would be paid in approximately 10 to 11 days;
  • One reward only per delegator;
  • To claim rewards please email us with the date, time and amount of delegation made along with an ADA address for payment. All claims must be made within 7 days of making your delegation. You can email us here;
  • GNP1 may decline to pay rewards if we suspect multiple welcome rewards are being claimed from a single delegator or if delegations are being removed immediately after initial reward payment; and
  • Welcome rewards only valid while available and GNP1 may cancel this promotion at any time once our allocation of Welcome Rewards have been claimed.

Information regarding delegating to small pools

At GNP1 we understand that small pools only minting a block now and then cannot be competitive against the larger pools that mint many blocks each Epoch. However we can help reset the balance by providing welcome bonuses and pool fee returns to our delegators.

Currently a block pays around 590 ADA (as at 16 Feb 2023) so if a pool is only minting one block in the Epoch the pool has to take a minimum of 340 ADA which is the fixed cost as set by the Blockchain protocol. The 340 ADA is only taken once in an Epoch regardless of how many blocks are minted in that Epoch. This means that for small pools that mint one or less blocks in an Epoch they have over 50% of the block reward taken out before the delegators get their share. When you have a large pool that mints say 5 blocks in an Epoch then that 340 ADA is diluted amongst the 5 blocks. This means that only about 9% of the block rewards is taken out before sharing the remainder with the delegators. This is a simplified version of course and there other factors such as pool fees and transactions fees which have an impact but generally speaking you probably get the idea.

We recognise this at GNP1 and so our aim is to build sufficient stake to mine enough blocks to make us competitive. However in the meantime we will do our best to make up the shortfall through various reward schemes including sharing all of the 340 ADA of the compulsory 340 ADA pool fee with our Delegators proportional to their stake.
